I have been a travel Agent for eight years working for other agencies. About 4 years ago I decided to create my own agency as I was selling destinations and activities the other agencies did not. I didn't fit their mold. 

I first created Jon's Dive & Travel Services. I was selling a lot of dive travel to exotic destinations and since I am a PADI Master Scuba Diver Trainer, it was a good extension. I began to realize that a lot of my clients wanted to dive in Africa and specifically shark cage dive in South Africa.

I began to educate myself about South Africa and decided to become a South African Fundi Travel Specialist. As I did more and more for clients with the combination of diving and safari, I discovered I had a real passion for African travel. Out of this passion has come AfricaSafariFundi.com. It is a site dedicated to African travel only.

Since those early days, I have become an expert in travel to not only South Africa (my first love), but also am a certified travel expert for Tanzania, Southern Africa, and Kenya. I have vast experience with sending clients for gorilla treks in Uganda and Rwanda as well as the cultural and slave trade histories of Ghana and Senegal. For the desert areas of Africa, my expertise is with Morocco, Tunisia, and Egypt.
